'Allo 'Allo!

By Jeremy Lloyd & David Croft

5th - 9th of October 2010

Allo Allo

‘Allo ‘Allo was one of the most successful BBC comedies, running from 1984 to 1992. There were a total of 84 episodes including two Christmas Specials and a 10th Anniversary Special.
Congleton Players hope that you will enjoy their production of this hilarious stage version and derive as much pleasure from watching it as the cast are from rehearsing it!

There is much laughter; some stifled, some uncontrollable as the actors perform some of the most well know lines…
“Listen very carefully I will say this only once!”
“It is I Leclerc” …
“Good moaning”,
And Rene informing Mimi not to swat the flies on the ham, swat them on the currant cake, they will not show up! With lots, lots more of one-liners.

These amazing scripts by Jeremy Lloyd and David Croft give the audience a couple of hours of pure pleasure, where they can relax and chuckle to their hearts content.

‘Allo ‘Allo will be performed at Daneside Theatre from Tuesday 5th October to Saturday 9th October. Tickets may be obtained from Congleton Tourist Information Centre, tel. 01260 271095

Good news for those who didn't make the final of the 2009 One Act Play Festival!

Because of the high quality of the submissions we received, read, critiqued and agonised over for the last competition and festival, Congleton Players have decided that before the next open competition Congleton Players will produce a number of additional One Act Plays from the 2009 intake.
The performance night for those selected will be on 11th June 2011 at Daneside Theatre, Congleton, Cheshire, UK and all selected authors will be informed personally.
For this performance there will be no voting for a winner as for the original competition – we will simply be having a celebration of well written, well produced, well directed, well staged and well acted One Act Plays.
We at Congleton Players hope you can join us on the night whatever your interest in Theatre! You will be most welcome.

An announcement of the next exciting One Act Play Competion  "4 More - One Act Plays", together with details of submission deadlines, updated entry procedures and supporting guidelines and regulations will be announced on this page in the near future - so watch this space!

In the meantime, if you think you would like to enter and you might be a budding Agatha Christie, Arthur Miller or Alan Ayckbourn .......

Get Creative! ..... Get Inspired! ..... Get Writing!
