ONE-ACT PLAY FESTIVAL

Once again, Congleton Players are proud to announce their world-acclaimed One-Act Plays Festival which, in our 80th Anniversary year, will be even more special. The One-Act Playwriting competition which was open between 01 May and 30 November 2015 for submissions from budding Playwrights, attracted 42 suitable plays from all over the World, even as far away as Australia and Prince Edward Island, Canada. The diversity of genres ranges from very serious political dialogue to farcical comedy. Our Panel have worked very hard to shortlist the plays, with the objective of selecting those which provide the best entertainment and enjoyment to you, our audience.

Congleton Players One-Act Play Festival is unique in the fact that it goes another step further by putting all those shortlisted plays on stage for your pleasure. You, as a member of the audience, also get the opportunity of voting on your favourite play for the evening.

Finally, the successful Playwright receives a prize of £150.
